More About Lucky

In addition to the awesome photo of Lucky at the top of this blog, I thought it would be good to complete her profile:

Name:  Lucky
Species:  Dog; displays many human characteristics including a desire to sleep in, appreciation for a comfortable sofa, and a sense that home base is a safe zone.
Breed:  Mixed - after years of studied observation including looking at other dogs and internet browsing it has been determined that the majority of the mix is defined as Border Collie (or some other herding type) and Chow Chow.
Color:  Black with natural caramel highlights that really show up in the sunlight.
DOB:  Estimated March 1999.
Years with current family:  Adopted in August, 2000 - so just over 10 years.
Origin:  Hong Kong (yes, she was born in Hong Kong)!
History prior to current family:  Chooses not to dwell on it, however, was originally found abandoned on a construction site.
Favorite Foods:  Beef, Fish (all types), Lamb, Cheese.  Will settle for a bite of your toasted bagel in a pinch.
Favorite Activities:  Squirrel chasing, sniff and stroll, swimming.
Distinguishing Marks:  Purple tongue of a chow chow.  No sense limiting it to distinguishing marks, overall a mighty fine specimen of a dog!
Other:  Likes a good massage, very happy with extended sessions of getting tummy rubs.  Wary with strangers.
